DAY 01: CUSCO – CALCA – LARES – WACAHUASI
The first day of the Lares and Machu Picchu tour 4 days and 3 nights includes:
– Early departure from the hotel (5:00 am).
– Walk to the Lares Valley, passing through Calca in the Sacred Valley.
– Visit to the thermal and medicinal baths in the town of Lares.
- Lunch.
– Walk to the town of Wacawasi, which will take approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.
– Arrival and overnight in Wacawasi.
– Dinner at Wacawasi.
– Breakfast the next day.

DAY 02: WACAWASI – LAGUNA IPSAYCOCHA – PATACANCHA
After breakfast, the itinerary continues as follows:
– Continuation of the walk.
– Observation of the skills of the residents in weaving and making garments.
– Ascent to the Ipsaycocha pass at an altitude of 4100 meters above sea level or 13451 feet.
– Stunning view of the famous Veronica Mountain or Wakayhuillca, which is located at an altitude of 5750 meters above sea level or 18865 feet.
- Lunch.
– Descent for approximately an hour and a half to the last camp, which is located in the town of Patacancha.

DAY 03: PATACANCHA – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES.

– Early departure towards Ollantaytambo.
– Descent hike with impressive views of the valley.
– Arrival at the town of Huylloc.
– Continuation of the walk to the town of Pumamarka, where you can enjoy the Inca terraces.
– End of the tour in Ollantaytambo.
– Lunch in Ollantaytambo.
– Then, you will take the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (also known as Aguas Calientes), where you will spend the night in your reserved hostel.

DAY 04: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO
The last day of your adventure will unfold as follows:
– Early start of the hike to Machu Picchu, taking approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes along the Inca Trail.
– Arrival at the Machu Picchu control, registration and preparation to enter.
– Guided tour within the citadel of Machu Picchu, lasting approximately two hours. During this tour, you will learn about the history and culture of this impressive Inca city.
– Free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own, where you will have the option to visit Huayna Picchu (reservation and payment required), the Inti Punku and the Inca Bridge.
– End of the day with a train trip back to Ollantaytambo.
– From Ollantaytambo, you will travel by car back to Cusco, where your exciting experience at Machu Picchu will culminate.
