DAY 1: ECOAVENTURA
– 8:00 am: Pick up and transfer to our office for registration. Then, we will go to Puerto Capitanía and board a boat to travel along the Madre de Dios River until we reach the Ecolodge in approximately 40 minutes.
– Canopy: Walk through the forest to the canopy bridge. During the day, you will be able to see a variety of birds and enjoy the fabulous natural landscape among the trees while the guide explains to you about the fauna and flora of the place.
– Zip line: After the walk, they will explain how to do the zip line. Equipped with safety elements, you will slide down a 190-meter-long zip line. At the other end, you will be greeted by an attendant to cross another small bridge and return via another 160 meter zip line to the starting point.
– Lunch: After a comforting meal, you can rest in the hammocks. You'll be ready for the next adventure.
– Kayak: Equipped with life jackets, we will board a boat and then switch to kayaks to enjoy this experience. There will always be a boat following the group for your safety. This is an excellent opportunity to swim in the waters of the Madre de Dios River and relax after activities in the city.
– Monkey Island: In front of our adventure center, there is an island inhabited by monkeys accustomed to humans. You will be able to get closer, feed them and observe their coexistence, a charming experience.
– 4:00 pm: Return to the Ecolodge to rest.
– 6:00 pm: Night walk: Tour along our trail to observe nocturnal fauna, including birds, insects and amphibians.
– 7:30 pm: Dinner and time to rest.
DAY 2: LAGO SANDOVAL
– Breakfast: Includes fruit juice, local coffee with milk, fried eggs and bananas, and other energizing dishes to prepare you for the next activity.
– Boat Ride to Lake Sandoval: We will board a boat that will take us to the Lake Sandoval Control Post, where registration will take place, since this lake is located in the Tambopata National Reserve.
– Walk: We will take a walk of approximately 1 hour. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to observe a wide variety of flora and, with luck, fauna such as birds, monkeys, rodents, arachnids, insects, reptiles and amphibians.
– Bathing in the Lake: When you reach the shores of the lake, you can enjoy a refreshing bath in the waters of the majestic Sandoval Lake, a relaxing experience that is up to you.
– Lunch: You will enjoy a delicious typical jungle lunch.
– Rowing Boat Ride: After lunch, you will board a rowboat to explore the lake in search of birds such as hoatzines, cormorants, anhingas and, with luck, you will be able to witness the best attraction of Lake Sandoval: “the playful Wolves of River".
DAY 3: VISITA FAMILIA NATIVA
– Breakfast: We start the day with breakfast at 8:00 am, which includes a variety of foods to recharge your batteries.
– Visit to the Native Family: We take advantage of the opportunity to meet and learn about the ancestral customs and traditions of a local indigenous family. This allows us to have direct contact with ancient warriors and hunters, and we also have the possibility of purchasing some of their artisan products, which helps support the community financially.
– Rustic Fishing: In the afternoon, we will take a boat to reach a ravine where we will have a rustic fishing experience. You can catch fish such as catfish, maidens, sardines or even piranha fish.
– Dinner: After returning to the lodge, we will enjoy dinner and then you will have time to rest and relax.
DAY 4: COLLPA DE LOROS “CACHUELA”
– Early morning excursion (4:30 am): From our location at the lodge, we head by boat to the “Parrot clay lick”, a strategic place located at a safe distance to observe several species of parrots and, with Good luck, macaws. You will have the opportunity to see blue-headed parrots, auroras, parakeets and other birds. This activity lasts approximately 1 hour and allows you to enjoy the beautiful sunrise in the jungle.
– Final breakfast: After returning to the lodge around 7:00 am, we will enjoy our last breakfast in the jungle.
– Return to Puerto Maldonado: After breakfast, we will head back to the city of Puerto Maldonado. The exact return time will depend on your plane flight or your bus station, previously coordinated with our office to ensure you arrive on time.
