This 2-day, 1-night tour on majestic Lake Titicaca will take you to the fascinating Floating Islands of the Uros, the welcoming island of Amantaní, and the culturally rich island of Taquile. Itinerary
DAY 1: Puno - Uros - Amantani
We’ll pick you up at 5:00 AM at the Bus Terminal, or if you’re already in Puno, at 7:00 AM directly from your hotel to begin this incredible adventure. From the Puno pier, we’ll set sail for the Floating Islands of the Uros, where you’ll meet the locals and learn about ancestral totora reed construction techniques, a cultural legacy that has endured through time.
Our journey continues to Amantaní Island, a charming place where you’ll be warmly welcomed by the locals. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in a spectacular natural setting. After lunch, we’ll begin a hike to “Pacha Tata,” the island’s highest point, to enjoy panoramic views of Lake Titicaca as the sunset paints the sky with vibrant colors.
As night falls, a traditional dinner awaits you with your host family, where you can savor typical local dishes prepared with fresh, regional ingredients. After dinner, you’ll participate in a lively Folkloric Show, featuring traditional music and dances that will allow you to further immerse yourself in the culture of Amantaní, all while wearing typical local costumes.
Finally, you’ll spend the night with a local family, sharing stories and enjoying the serenity under a starry sky. It will be a unique experience, full of unforgettable moments that will deeply connect you with nature and the traditions of the region.
DAY 2: Amantani - Taquile - Puno
Start your day with a delicious breakfast in Amantaní, bidding farewell to your host family and thanking them for their warmth and hospitality. Afterward, we’ll head to the enchanting island of Taquile, where you’ll receive a warm welcome. Upon arrival, we’ll begin a walk to the Main Square, from where you’ll have a breathtaking view of the lake and the island, surrounded by stunning scenery.
In the Main Square, you’ll have the opportunity to experience Taquile’s culture through an exhibition of its renowned textiles. Talented local weavers will demonstrate their ancestral techniques, used to create their beautiful garments, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The dedication and artistry evident in each piece reflect centuries of tradition and cultural identity.
After the exhibit, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in a stunning natural setting, surrounded by panoramic views of Lake Titicaca. The authentic flavors of the region will accompany you as you relax and contemplate the majestic landscape. Afterward, we’ll descend to the island’s main dock, where you can experience the friendliness of the locals as you explore the final stretches of the island.
Finally, we’ll board the boat back to Puno, sailing across the crystal-clear waters of the lake while you reflect on your experiences. Arriving in Puno around 4:00 PM, you’ll take with you unforgettable memories of an experience that deeply connected you to the history, culture, and natural beauty of Lake Titicaca and its islands.
