General Description
Our glamping cabins at our ecolodge are located three hours upriver from Santa Rosa del Yacuma, far from the hustle and bustle of the town’s nightclubs. Unlike other similar options that are only a ten-minute drive from the small town, you can enjoy the proximity to nature and immerse yourself in a tranquil and magical experience at our secluded retreat in the heart of the Bolivian Amazonian Pampas.
Itinerary
Day 1 – la aventura comienza
On the first day, after breakfast (not included), we will pick you up from your hotel in Rurrenabaque or from the airport. We will venture into the wilderness of the Yacuma Pampas, traveling overland from Rurrenabaque. We will have lunch in the charming village of Santa Rosa del Yacuma and then navigate upriver on the Yacuma River. During this journey, we will observe incredible species such as birds, caimans, turtles, monkeys, capybaras, and perhaps even pink river dolphins! At the end of the day, we will enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Pampas, and for those who want something extra, you can join a nighttime activity to observe the glowing eyes of the caimans (for this activity, each person must bring a flashlight).
Day 2 – buscando la anaconda
On the second day, we’ll take a walk through the Pampas in search of the impressive anaconda and other animals (we’ll provide rubber boots for this activity, but only up to size 45 EUR in Bolivia). If it’s the rainy season, we’ll travel by motorboat to try and spot these snakes in the trees and see other wildlife. After lunch, we’ll have the unique opportunity to swim with pink river dolphins in nearby pools. These territorial animals will keep us safe from caimans, and we’ll be able to enjoy a close encounter with these beautiful creatures.
Day 3 – fin
El tercer y último día, después del desayuno, nos centraremos en la pesca deportiva de pirañas, una experiencia única y emocionante.
